Sell Google Play Gift Cards for Cash — Up to 75% (2026)
Turn an unused Google Play gift card into up to 75% cash. Why the country matters, how to sell step by step, and payouts via PayPal, Venmo, Cash App or crypto.
Google Play gift cards are one of the most common gifts out there — and one of the most commonly unused. If you don't buy apps, games or subscriptions on Android, that balance can sit untouched for years. Here's how to turn it into real money instead.
How much cash can you get for a Google Play card?
CryptoGiftCash pays up to 75% of face value for Google Play gift cards:
| Card value | Your payout (75%) |
|---|---|
| $25 | $18.75 |
| $50 | $37.50 |
| $100 | $75.00 |
| $200 | $150.00 |
First time selling with us? You get an extra 3% on your first order of $20 or more. See your exact payout in the calculator.
Why the country on your card matters
Google Play gift cards are region-locked: a card bought in the US can only be redeemed on a US Google account, a UK card on a UK account, and so on. That's why our calculator asks you to pick the exact country the card was issued for — not just the currency.
We buy Google Play cards from:
- 🇺🇸 United States (USD)
- 🇬🇧 United Kingdom (GBP)
- 🇪🇺 All 21 Eurozone countries (EUR) — Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland and more
Not sure where your card is from? Check the packaging or the receipt — the country is usually printed next to the terms. Choosing the wrong country is the most common reason a Google Play card fails verification.
How to sell your Google Play gift card
- Pick Google Play in the calculator and select the card's country.
- Enter the card value — the minimum is $20 (or £20 / €20).
- Log in or create a free account, then enter the redeem code (under the scratch strip, or in your email for digital cards).
- Upload a photo if you have a physical card — it speeds up verification.
- We verify the balance, usually within minutes, and credit your CryptoGiftCash wallet.
- Withdraw to PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, USDT, ETH or BTC once your wallet reaches $50.
Common reasons a Google Play card gets rejected
- Already redeemed. If the code was ever added to a Google account — even accidentally — it has no balance left to sell.
- Wrong country selected. A UK card submitted as a US card won't verify.
- Not activated. Physical cards must be activated at the register when bought. If you received one as a gift without a receipt, ask the giver to check.
- Typos in the code. Double-check similar characters like 0/O and 1/I.
If a card is declined, we'll tell you why in your dashboard. You're never charged for a declined card.
Selling vs. spending your Google Play balance
If you regularly pay for YouTube Premium, Google One storage or Android games, spending the card yourself gives you 100% of its value. Selling makes sense when the balance would otherwise go unused — 75% in cash is better than 100% of nothing. And unlike a Google Play balance, cash in PayPal or Venmo can be spent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell a Google Play card I received by email? Yes. Digital codes work exactly like physical cards — just copy the code from the email.
Can I sell a partially used Google Play card? Only if the code itself still holds a balance. Once a code has been redeemed to an account, the balance belongs to that account and can't be transferred.
How quickly do I get paid? Most cards are verified within minutes. PayPal, Venmo and Cash App withdrawals are effectively instant once approved.
Someone asked me to buy Google Play cards to pay a bill. Is that normal? No — that's a scam. No legitimate company or government agency asks for payment in gift cards. See our guide to gift card scams.
